Industrial and Commercial Buildings

Lightweight buildings which reduce foundation loads and therefore costs and new engineered timbers that allow larger spans mean that we can help accommodate long term flexibility of the commercial space being provided.

Multi Storey Buildings
Our engineers provide design services for leading timber frame manufacturers using specialised and bespoke design software. We have designed timber frame buildings up to 7 storeys tall.

Public buildings and Schools
We provide design services to many local authorities and public bodies. We are experienced in the design of schools and other higher education facilities and are well versed with the requirements of disproportionate collapse design considerations.

Byrom Associates is a structural engineering consultancy who provide professional design services for self-builders and small local builders through to large contractors and national timber frame manufacturers.

Formed in 2002, we have a wealth of experience in all types of building structures ranging from home extensions and conversions to large residential estates, multi-storey apartments and schools utilising all four major construction materials.

Located in our new offices in Portishead, Bristol, Byrom Associates are committed to providing a quality service. Primarily created for the timber frame industry, we specialise in timber frame design and work hard to achieve all architect design requirements while always considering and reviewing a value engineering process.
